What types of stamping business cards are?

• Foil stamping of business cards (gold, silver, mother of pearl, hologram, etc.)
• Relief embossing of business cards (embossed extrusion of a logo or necessary elements of a business card up to a height of 1 mm.)
• Blind embossing (indenting the logo into the interior of the material to a depth of 1 mm, depending on the thickness of the material)

What is needed to translate desire into reality?

1. Vector layout on a scale of 1: 1. In the layout, it is necessary to indicate in a separate color those elements or objects whose embossing is necessary. If, in addition to stamping on a business card, for example, something else needs to be printed, then it must be described and at the same time in the layout these parts should be in those colors that should be ready-made.
2. Choose paper for the base. Since embossing is possible on almost all designer cardboards, this item cannot be neglected. After all, foil stamping can be much more attractive on designer cardboards, the cardboard itself can be with the effect of rubberizing, mother-of-pearl, velvet, with overflows, with various possible textures and textures. Our catalog of designer cardboards contains more than 500 samples for every taste and budget. But you need to understand that on dark types of paper, in addition to embossing, there can be no printing, since the printer prints only on a white or light surface. But this, too, cannot be an obstacle, there are still options not for digital printing, but for silk-screen printing, but all this is calculated individually and done on special order.
3. Cliche. This is a mini-stamp that is made according to your layout and whose contours transfer your layout to the base /paper. The cliche is made with magnesium. This stamp can withstand up to 5000 prints in some cases, it depends on the lot size of lots, therefore this waste is deposited once for a certain period of time and prints. In the price indicated in the product the cost of the cliche is not included. An example of calculating the cost of a cliche will be described below.

Due to the long time it takes to set up the equipment and the loss of material during adjustment, there is a minimum stamping run of 100 prints. We take into circulation less than 100 pieces at a price as for 100 pieces.

If it is necessary to get embossed or hot stamped onto the printed image (for example, to pre-heat the badge, print the logo elements in gold /silver), the cost of work is 1.5 times higher

Cliche cost calculation

When calculating the cost of the cliche, the technological offset of 1 cm around the image perimeter is taken into account. The cliche price is considered per square centimeter, taking into account the departure, i.e. for example, a cliche on a 3x5 cm logo is considered as follows: 3 cm (plus a technological offset of 2 cm) x 5 cm (plus a technological offset of 2 cm)=5x7=35 cm.

35 cm multiplied by the cost per centimeter - in the case of, for example, stamping on paper - 35 x 7=245 UAH the cost of such a cliche.

The minimum cost of a cliche is 120 hryvnias.

We accept any METAL cliches (magnesium, brass, zinc).

We DO NOT WORK with polymer cliches.

Embossing Layout Recommendations:

• Letters or numbers not less than 8 pt high.
• Character or text thickness at least 0.3 mm
• The distance between the embossing elements must be at least 0.5 mm. The foil has the property of spreading, respectively, if the elements are located close to one another, then as a result, the merger of the elements into one spot will result.
• When combining embossing with printing by a printer, it is necessary to take into account possible slight deviations in the positioning of the print, so that it is not noticeable on the business card, it is necessary not to tie visually different manufacturing technologies into an ideal line one relative to another, with an ideal embossment in printed elements, etc. High precision stamping is paid at a different rate and not always this will lead to an ideal appearance.
