It would seem that what tasks in commerce and marketing can be performed by such a simple in appearance and form product, like envelope. But it is also used in marketing, and quite often. In fact, it is a publication used as a shell for embedding, storing or sending various items in closed form. These can be discs, papers, postcards - everything that needs to be sent to the addressee in a more official and well-formed form.

Envelopes with logos are especially common among modern printing agencies. They are not only simple envelopes for letters. The use of branded products with the company logo is mandatory when sending business correspondence, important business or congratulatory papers to partners. It is an essential part of business life. Many companies prefer to have their own products of this type.

What are branded envelopes: design and format

Often, such a publication helps to form a certain opinion about the company, becomes useful for its image, general business image. If you send correspondence in this form, it will give the addressee a good impression. So, you want to show respect, to emphasize a special attitude. Thus, any sent paper acquires a special value and is perceived in a completely different way than it could be with any other sent in the usual way.

The production of such publications is not an easy process. To understand all the subtleties and stages of production, you need to be well versed in all manufacturing technologies, choose the right materials and use high-quality equipment.

If we talk about the printing methods used, there are only two of them - offset and digital. The production process itself has a number of features, consisting in a certain sequence of work on their implementation, post-printing options, design features and other points.

By design, an envelope is a flat compartment, a kind of pocket for inserting letters, information and advertising materials, invitations, congratulatory and other correspondence. It has several features:

  • on the front side there is the address of the recipient - home or work;
  • the sender's contacts are written;
  • a logo or other image thematically related to the company is indicated.

A flap is intended for closing - a piece from the main sheet with an adhesive edge. It can be long or short. Sometimes, in addition, a small window is made on the front side through which you can view and see what is inside.

The formats are now used differently. There are several of them:

  • Euro or DL 110x220. Good not only for business, but also for personal, private correspondence. Convenient to use - even a large sheet can be put there, but previously folded several times.
  • C4 229x324. Roomy, an A4 sheet is placed there without folding.
  • C5 162x229. It is used when it is necessary to distribute small format promotional products.
  • C6 114x162 or 114x229. The first one is made in accordance with standard A6 sizes , the second one is slightly larger than the usual euro format.
  • 125x125. Discs are inserted here.

Before starting the production process, you need to accurately determine the purpose products. It makes sense to order several sizes at once, since the products sent can be different, including the thickness. So much more convenient than if you make universal editions. When the optimal one is selected for a specific type, it contributes more to preservation in a normal form.

What materials are used

The most common is paper. Offset is the cheapest, suitable products are obtained from it in order to correspond with customers or conduct targeted mailings of any products. High-quality coated paper is used less often. Models from it are more beautiful, original and durable, but more expensive.

But coated material is the best solution when you need to attach great importance to the internal content, emphasize its significance. You can also choose something more designer, even more expensive in cost, but more creative, more prestigious. This is the best option when you need to send something to a partner or a VIP client - for example, an invitation to an event, a promotion.

It is generally believed that only white paper is suitable for manufacturing, but this is not so. Many modern printing companies offer several varieties that differ, among other things, in colors.

What technologies are used in the manufacture

As mentioned above, these are digital and offset printing. The first option is more suitable for small runs. This technology is known for making it possible to personalize the product. The layout can be supplemented with any text or graphic elements.

When a large print run is needed, it is better to resort to offset printing. Thanks to her, really bright, colorful editions are obtained. Here you can use additional coloring materials - for example, metallized ones.
